Error: Type Mismatch (when trying to run query) due to criteria in wrong field.

Type Mismatch
Cause:
The criteria were probably entered in the wrong field column.
Solution:
Make sure the criteria are entered for the correct field in the query design grid.
Design grid
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) If the query is not opened, open the query in the Query Design view.
3) Type the criteria in the correct field in the query design grid at the bottom half of the Query Design window:

a) Select the criteria that is in the incorrect field by clicking and dragging the mouse over the contents of the 'Criteria' cell. (The criteria is highlighted.)
b) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Cut'. (The criteria is deleted and copied to the Clipboard.)
c) Click in the 'Criteria' row for the correct field.
d) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'. (The criteria is pasted from the Clipboard.)
4) To save the changes, select the 'File' menu and select 'Save'.
5) Select the 'Query' menu and select 'Run' to try running the query again.
6) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the Query Design view.
